Helen was just poking around the web to see if she could find my (our?) blog on Google (no), when she came across this fascinating website about the other kind of kanzashi.....the more substantial kind of Japanese hair ornaments, made from things like silver, lacquer, coral.....the kind not worn by maiko (apprentice geisha).
